Trees are an invaluable asset to balancing the ecosystem in which we live. The installation "TREE HUG" is a tribute to the benefits that trees bring us, representing the symbols of "Life" and "Love".

Who Is Mr. Plant?

Christophe Guinet aka Mr. Plant

(Mr. Plant)

Mr. Plant, born Christophe Guinet, was born in Paris, France, living between the city and the countryside. The roots of his passions grew during his adolescent years, attracted to plants; especially orchards for their beauty and delicate display. As Christophe matured, his tastes evolved to include urban cultures, such as skateboarding, contemporary art, street art, and fashion. Christophe then decided to travel the world, allowing him the ability to project nature on different media: through collage, photography, graphics, illustration, or sculpture, on a large scale.

His work can be described as a representation of love for familial objects related to urban culture, at the same time, questioning the ethical logic to which these objects are inscribed. Christophe's area of reflections revolve around love, life, death, as well as the cycle of life in a society where death has become taboo.

Mr. Plant's latest installation, "Tree Hugs", proposes a surrealistic evolution of the human being into a tree, absorbed by nature, which has taken back natural rights. The finality of the installation is that, the strength and beauty of nature will always prevail over the haughtiness of man.
