The AeroMobil is a personal vehicle with the ability to travel on land and air. This wonder machine comes to us from Slovakia, by AeroMobil. The company was established in 2010 to design, develop, and introduce the world's first commercial flying vehicles to commercial markets. The latest version of the AeroMobil (version 3.0), has been perfected through 300,000 pain-staking hours of design, engineering, and 10,000 hrs of flight tests.

The flying vehicle's hybrid propulsion system, is powered with a turbocharged internal combustion engine, operating at 24 kW (300 bhp). Its driving range is estimated at 520 km / 320 miles, with an equal flying range with one occupant, and with two occupants; a range of 740 km/ 460 miles. The most noticeable of all its features, are the Aeromobil's adaptive flight controls and vehicle suspension. For optimal take-offs and landings, full transformation between drive and flight modes, takes less than 3 minutes!

  • Driving – Top speed 160 km/h, 0-100 km/h 10 sec / 100 mph, 0-62 mph 10 sec
  • Flying* –
    • Cruise speed: 260km/h / 160 mph

Conclusion

As other car companies start to learn how to fly, the AeroMobil may become an inspiration in style, innovation, and the driver-passenger experience; for other inspired flying car models. With 2021 already into the summer months, I am excited to finally see flying vehicles become a reality.
