SUNGLASSES THAT GIVE BACK
It goes without say that Sunglasses are the ultimate accessory! They protect our eyes from harmful solar rays and add an extra level of cool to our wardrobes. Even though finding the perfect pair of shades can be a daunting task, it can also be equally as satisfying. Recently, I came across a brand called, OTIS Eyewear, which I find to be outstanding in style, craftsmanship, and approach to sustainability.
OTIS frames are constructed from a unique material called eco-acetate, which the company derives from raw cotton seeds and wood pulp. The lens are made from mineral glass; a hybrid glass half the weight & twice the strength of standard crown glass. Mineral glass is made up of a combination of sand and soda ash; delivering unparalleled clarity and scratch resistance.
The packaging for OTIS, is fairly simple and eco-friendly. The shades themselves are good for the earth, and at the end of their life-cycle, one pair will decompose and produce the new generation of cotton plants! In this post, we'll explore my top 10 picks from the OTIS Sunglass collection.
