About the Affordable Arts Fair

Art fairs are a crucial part of the art economy all over the world. Galleries and artists utilize these social marketplaces; to make their presence known, sell their works and shape connections with movers and shakers, in the industry. Since its launch in 1999, the Affordable Arts Fair has welcomed over 2.3 million visitors through its doors, and sold over $425 million worth of art. The fair is renowned as one of the leading and most popular art fairs in the world. The Fair is also heavily committed to charitable causes; providing $1.9 million worth of stand space and advice to emerging artists; $3.2 million worth of art education, and has raised $1.3 million globally for local charities.

Every year, thirteen fairs take place in 10 cities worldwide in Amsterdam, Bristol, Brussels, Hamburg, Hong Kong, London, Milan, New York, Singapore and Stockholm. The fair is a great place for budding collectors to discover their tastes, and connect with people who share similar appreciation for symbolic aesthetics.

Galleries To Visit

Due to last years shutdowns, I almost forgot how exciting it felt to hunt for cool art. If you witnessed me at the fair, I could be seen zipping through booths, as tho I were a kid in a candy store. As fun as that was, my hyperactive investigation-ing, revealed hundreds of sculptures, paintings, prints and photographs from some amazing artists such as; Greg Creason's, who creates surrealistic glass paintings; or Cat Sirot, who crafts provocatively shaped sculptures of fruit and objects; and even Roosje Van Donselaar, who's masterfully crafted tribal masks, combine both material and spiritual strengths.

Conclusion

I really enjoyed my visit to the Affordable Arts Fair, and cannot wait for the upcoming fair this winter. The Metropolitan Pavilion was a great location to have the fair. I couldn't help but fall in love, with romanesque columns, evenly providing support and structure to the fairs layout. The artists and galleries I had the pleasure of meeting, sparked a new sense of wonder, and creative curiosity, I'm sure will prove very helpful as time goes on. I'm happy to finally be back in the world of art, and I'm looking forward to this positive new start, from what was for many of us, a life changing year. I've included a link to the AA fair's schedule below. Use that to keep abreast of everything you should know, when the fair comes to your town.
